Things to remember -

  • Each passenger must now have his or her boarding pass in hand before reaching the security checkpoint. E-ticket receipts, itineraries and vouchers will no longer provide access through the checkpoints, and boarding passes will no longer be issued at the gates. Boarding passes may be obtained at the ticket counters and airline Kiosks. Boarding passes may not be available curbside at this time. Check with your airline.
  • Passengers are limited to one carry-on bag and one pocketbook or briefcase. The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented this rule so that screeners at security checkpoints can spend more time checking bags.
  • Only immediate pick-up and drop off of passengers is allowed on terminal roadways.
  • Curb-side check-in is available from Continental, JetBlue, Southwest, and USAirways. Northwest and United, bags only. Consult your airline.
  • No unattended vehicles are allowed for regular supply deliveries.
  • No unticketed passengers will be allowed through the security checkpoint.
  • The level of patrols by uniformed and plain-clothes security and law-enforcement officers has been increased.
  • All passengers are encouraged to check with their airline before coming to the airport.
  • Passengers should arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours before their scheduled departure.
  • The airport is open 24 hours. The security checkpoint is open from 4 a.m. until the last flight departs.
  • Items on the "not-permitted" list will be confiscated and not returned.
