The security checkpoint at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport is operated by the Federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA), it closes at 9:00p.m. daily. The Buffalo Niagara International Airport works with the TSA to monitor security line length and tries to keep the wait time less than 15 minutes; however to avoid any problems, we recommend arriving 90 minutes to two hours prior to departure especially during high travel periods such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter to ensure adequate time for check-in, security screening and travel to your gate. - Hoverboards
Due to concerns regarding the lithium batteries used in hoverboards (balance boards, gravity boards, self-balancing devices, etc.) effective immediately airlines will not transport hoverboards in either checked luggage or as a carryon item.
